Room 4 Newsletter:  Term 3, Week 4

Sunday 14th August, 2016.

Camp news:
Thank you to all those Room 3 & 4 parents who were willing to come on our camp. The
parents who will be accompanying us are: Bernie Brown, Fraser Reid, Christine Hixson-Skinner, Tracey Reid, Ben Donaldson, Shane Frew, Savio Fonseca, Martin Jenkinson, Georgina Dacosta, Cara Stewart, and Maria Shea.
Jenny Knowles is willing to be available as a reserve, should circumstances change for anyone.
Those attending the day trip to the marae are: Kevin O'Neill, Trina Eastwood, Ieremia Lemuelu, Lara Irving-Dowling, and perhaps Helen Ryan.  These people are travelling independently at their own expense and will meet the group by 9:50 am at Ōtākou prior to the pōwhiri at 10 am.
We will arrange a meeting with the above parents closer to the camp, to discuss expectations, roles and responsibilities, and to organise transport.
The above information went home as a notice to all students on Friday.

Important dates coming up:
*Thursday 18th August: House Olympics Afternoon. Full details to follow.
*Tuesday 23rd August – Central Otago Cross Country.
*Sunday 28th August – 9 am: Whole School Mass.
*Wednesday 7th- Friday 9th September: Year 3 & 4 Camp to Dunedin. Alexandra Holiday Park overnight Wednesday, Ōtākou Marae overnight Thursday.

Liturgical Dance:
Thank you so much to the six girls who presented a Liturgical Dance on Saturday evening at the Family Mass. They did a beautiful job, with the dance arranged by Imojen Constable and Hannah Tait. The dancers were Imojen, Sophia, Kimberley, Alia, Rhianna, and Jacqui. The girls danced to the song ‘Hail Mary, Full of Grace’. Father Pat and the parishioners were delighted with their warm and reverent celebration of the Feast of the Assumption of Mary.
