Week 8, Term 2

Welcome to Week 8! Wow, the weeks are going by quickly.

This Week some of our class will be participating in the Rippa Rugby Competition on Thursday. The children that are left at school will do their first ice skating lesson. If children could bring a jacket, waterproof pants, gloves and a helmet to school on Thursday.
The sessions will be Tuesday and Thursday week 9 and 10 too.

Whole school Mass on Sunday at 9am.  This will be an extra special Mass as 6 children will be baptised!

This Term our Eisteddfod is poetry. We will send a note about the criteria for this on Monday. Everyone will be presenting Week 9.

On Wednesday afternoon, teachers have a union meeting. If you are able to pick your child up early at 1.15pm that would be appreciated. If you are unable to do so, Mrs Eastwood and Mrs Gilbert will supervise the children still at school. Thank you for your support with this.

Hope you have a wonderful week and the sun comes out!

Week 7, Term 2

Hello,

On Monday, Room 4 will be visiting the library, so if all library cards and books that need to be returned could come to school that would be marvellous!

I am in Wellington at the NZ Catholic Schools Convention from Tuesday through to Friday.  Mrs Chamberlain will be teaching in Room 4 from Tuesday- Friday.

Just a reminder, if your child is doing Ripper Rugby if you could email me when you have completed their registration. The details for this are in a blog post below.

We are having a cultural assembly on the 25th of June.  Is there anyone that is able to teach a group of Room 4 students a cultural dance or if your child is able to perform a cultural dance to share with the school.  Please send me an email if you are able to assist with this in any way. clairedwyer@stgerards.school.nz

All children in Room 4 have been given an email address.  It would be great if you could sit down with your child and get them to log on to their account and to go through the importance of logging off and not saving their password to a device.

Thanks, have a great week!
