17th March – Shared ‘Green’ Lunch for St. Patrick’s Day with Room 3.

20th March – Anniversary Day – School closed.

21st March: Senior Syndicate Discovery Time 9.45 – 11.15 am.
St. Patrick’s
Day:
This Friday we are having a shared ‘green’
lunch with Room 3 to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day. As part of our study of the Parable
of the Yeast in R.E. we will be making bread to share at this lunch,
and we could possibly colour it green! As part of our School Garden project we
will also prepare a slow-cooker meal made only from ingredients straight from
a garden. This too will be shared at the Friday meal. What a feast! Please
bring a small plate of finger food to share on Friday, as well as the usual
brain food and morning tea food.

We had lots of fun this week locating
parables in the bible, reading them in our groups, re-telling them onto poster
paper, then acting them out as a role-play. See if your child can tell you what
their parable was about. J
