*Ice-skating dates: Tuesday 20th June, Tuesday 27th
June, Thursday 29th June, Tuesday 4th July.
*Wednesday Mass this week led by Room 5 – 9 am in the Church.
*Assembly this week led by Room 1 & 2: Friday 2.10 pm in the Hall.
*Sacrament of Penance (Reconciliation): Tuesday 27th June at 6 pm in
the Church.
*Poetry Eisteddfods – Week 10.
Poetry
Eisteddfods:
There will be a break from homework
routines this week to allow for preparation of Poetry Eisteddfods. Please
choose and practise a poem, and write an introduction for your poem. Class-time
will be given over the next week or so, to practise and work on this at school
as well.

- Present a poem to an audience.
- Use a clear voice.
- Practise using expression through the rhyme and rhythm of the poem.
- View and respond to poems presented by others.

Know
your poem off-by-heart. Speak steadily. Show that you are comfortable with
your audience because you know your poem well. Make it suitable for your
audience.

Strong.
Clear. Expression. Head raised so you can be heard right to the back of the
room. Questions.
