Health and Safety regulations: from Ice-In-Line:
  1. All children are to wear appropriate warm clothing such as track pants, hats, jackets and gloves – no skirts or shorts.
  2. The wearing of cycle helmets (or similar) is compulsory for school groups.
  3. Running is not permitted on the ice surface or the rink surrounds.
Suggestion: that children NOT wear 2 pairs of socks or really thick socks as this can affect the size skate that they require.

Room 4 Assembly:
Well done Room 4 for your efforts at Assembly on Friday. It was nice to have so many parents there. After presenting our Garden Structures at Assembly and at Mass on Sunday, they will now take their proud place in the School Garden.

Pacific Nation Study and Climate Change:
Thank you Room 4 for the wonderful writing and publishing that has been going on with your Information Reports. We have learnt so much about our Pacific neighbour nations: Vanuata, Papua New Guinea, Samoa, Fiji and Tonga. We have also looked at the effects of climate change on all Pacific islands. The children have a new appreciation of how real this is, and what we must all do to support those affected by drought, flood, cyclones and rising sea levels.
Please come and see the group posters proudly displayed in Room 4 if you get the chance.

Jelena, Gabrielle, Quinn and Mason produced their own play about the people of one island in Papua New Guinea who had to re-locate to Bougainville because of extreme weather and rising sea levels. What a great interpretation, and very well acted!!!

Have a great week.  Regards, Markelle Ward J
