News Reports:
What an excellent effort the children have made so
far with their news reports. We have heard presentations on a wide variety of
topics, and the children have really engaged with their topic and started
lively discussions in class. Thank you to those who have completed this, and we
look forward to the rest this week.

First Holy
Communion:
This Sunday a
number of children in Room 4 and in our Parish will celebrate their First Holy
Communion at 9 am Mass. This is a very important stepping-stone in their faith
journey and it would be lovely to have the support of their school-mates.
Please pray for these children and their families.
Fractions:
We have been doing
a lot of work on number stories for fractions. Please encourage your child to
show you how they can work this out.
Remind them to draw a fraction circle to help them.
1. There were 40 apples on the tree. ¼ of
them got over-ripe and fell off. How many apples were left on the tree?
2. There were 27 children on the bus. ⅔ of them got off the bus. How many
children were left on the bus?
Have a great
week. Markelle Ward J
