Term 3, Week 1

Room 4 Newsletter:  Term 3, Week 1

Sunday 23rd July, 2017

Welcome back to Term 3 everyone. I hope you have managed to keep warm and keep well. There are lots of bugs still going round. We will have plenty of hand sanitiser in Room 4 so keep the healthy habits going. J

I look forward to hearing all the holiday news this week. Here are some photos of Adam and I with Celia, Jess and Ed up at the Cardrona Ski Field.

Ski Day 2017:
Remember our Year 3 & 4 Ski Day is Thursday 31st August so start finding or borrowing any good snow-proof gear you will need. Information about our Ski Day will come very early in the term. Mark the date for our Ski Day on your calendar if you are interested in joining us.

Year 5 Ski Camp: Monday – Wednesday 21st-23rd August:
Your preparations are well underway. Please ensure medical forms are brought into me as soon as possible so that staff are well aware of all possible medications that will be required.

Parent Interviews next week:
All reports for Room 4 students should have been received by post at the beginning of the holidays. If you haven’t received this, please let me know as soon as possible. Bookings for Parent Interviews can now be made for next week.

Gymnastics:
Our exciting Gymnastics Programme begins this week on Tuesday, and will continue for 8 Tuesdays throughout Term 3. Children can come to school in their physical education gear on those days. The sessions for each class are approximately 45 minutes long.

Important Dates coming up:
*Whole School Prayer: Monday 24th July at 9am in the Church. Led by Room 4.
*Parent Meeting for the Sacrament of Confirmation: Thursday 3rd August, 7pm at Father Pat’s house. Sunday liturgy sessions for Confirmation children will begin after this.
*School Mass – Sunday 13th August at 9am. End of Week 3.
*Year 5 Ski Camp: Monday 21st – Wed 23rd August.
*Thursday August 31st: Year 3 & 4 Ski Day to the Snow Farm. Back-up day Friday 1st September.

Regards, Markelle Ward J
