Term Four, Week 1

Room 4 Newsletter:  Term 4, Week 1

Sunday 9th October, 2016.

Welcome back for Term 4. I trust you have all had an enjoyable break from the routines of school time. I look forward to a new term of laughter and learning, beginning with our school musical production ‘Noah’, coming up very soon in Week 2!! Remember to invite all your friends and family. Tickets are on sale at the office now at $10 for adults and $5 for children (Matinee $5 adults and children free).

Important dates coming up:
*Thursday 13th October: Parent Meeting for children receiving the Sacrament of First Holy Communion. 7 pm at Father Pat’s house. We need to hold the meeting this week, because of the School Musical next week.
School Musical – Noah: Matinee 1 pm and Evening performance 6.30 pm Wednesday 19th October. Evening performance 6.30 pm Thursday 20th October.
*Monday 24th October – Labour Day. School closed.
*Tuesday 25th October – Self defense class for year 3 & 4 girls (all day).
*Wednesday 26th October – School Athletics Day.
*Sacrament of First Holy Communion – Sunday 20th November.

Noah:
We have no time to waste in getting ready for our part in the musical production, which is coming up in only a matter of days. Please do your bit to get the following costumes organised as soon as possible. We will be doing a lot of practice in class for our dances, and as a school for the chorus.

Room 3 & 4 Costumes:
Girls are doves - white tops and white tights/leggings with bare feet.  We will be getting white masks to which a beak will be attached.
* Boys are Jamaican dancers - yellow, red or green tee shirts with black pants. If anyone has access to a red/green/yellow beret that would be great.
Song words:
Song words will come home in homework clear files, so please encourage your child to memorise these.

Sunhats: As the weather is warming up very quickly, sunhats must now be worn at all times in the playground.  Please make sure you have a named hat at school.

Have a great week.
